A London gambler has bet #200,000 on Donald Trump becoming the president of the United States.
Stands to win # 500,000 on top of the original amount, if the Republican candidate defeats Democrat Hillary Clinton in the election of Tuesday.
The enormous bet comes after bookies announced the 2016 US presidential elections had smashed gaming recordings, with much more wagers anticipated to be set compared to Euro 2016 final, the EU referendum, or the Derby.
Since that time, several bets have been put by gamblers across Britain on the race being won by both candidates to White House.
The bet that was 200,000 was made on online gaming website Spreadex.
Connor Campbell, a financial analyst at Spreadex, said: »It’s official, the US election is our single biggest gaming event and we are seeing some enormous bets being placed, including one client who has staked #200,000 on a Trump victory »
